Notebook Proof

(I wrote this today in four separate sittings, and I was going to leave it in the notebook, but then I thought I’d let it exist here too, facing an Other!)

I

  1. Being is Relation.

Therefore, Being is towards.

  1. Without Ground, Being is towards oneself.

Therefore, Relation without Grounded Being is Relation with oneself.

  1. All ungrounded Being is Total until grounded.

Therefore, without Ground, there can be no Other.

  1. Being is Relation.

Ungrounded Being is Total.

Grounded Being is Situated.

Situatedness permits Multiplicity.

Multiplicity permits Relation.

Being is Relation.

II

  1. All Thinking is Orientation.

All Feeling is Exploration.

  1. Understanding is a Thinking Function.

Experiencing is a Feeling Function.

  1. Life wants to be Experienced, not Understood.

Therefore, Life wants to explore, not only be oriented.

  1. One cannot explore without being oriented.

Therefore, Thinking enables Exploration through Orientation.

  1. Without Orientation, Thinking assumes Totality.

Therefore, Feeling is subordinated.

  1. Feeling can have primacy if, and only if, Thinking is superseded.

Therefore, Thinking loses Totality.

Therefore, Feeling is without Orientation.

  1. Without Orientation, Feeling is not Exploration but Saturation.

Therefore, Feeling assumes Totality.

  1. Thinking aims at securing Finitude within Infinitude.

Therefore, Thinking aims at its own subordination, even while Total.

Therefore, Orientation marks the point at which Thinking arrived at proper scale.

  1. At its proper scale, Thinking is Finite.

Therefore, Thinking does not expand beyond itself in the search for Understanding.

Therefore, Thinking is Oriented.

  1. Orientation permits Exploration.

Therefore, Life can be Experienced.

Therefore, Understanding has resolved its original function.

  1. Thinking supports Feeling

Therefore, Understanding becomes Exploration.

Therefore, Thinking Supports Multiplicity of Feeling.

  1. Thinking is Finitude.

Feeling is Infinitude.

Therefore, with Orientation, Feeling can be Total without Saturation.

  1. Feeling is Total.

Therefore, Feeling is Being.

Therefore, Feeling is Relation.

Therefore, Relation is Exploration.

Therefore, Relation is Experience.

Therefore, Experience is Being.

  1. Experience is the Ground of Being.

III

  1. Experience, as the Ground of Being, is a solitary precondition for Relation.

Therefore, Experience cannot be shared.

Therefore, Relation is a Meeting, not a shared Experience.

  1. Experience may then be Total if, and only if, it can be Located.

Therefore, Experience of Infinitude can exist without inward collapse.

Therefore, Mutual Experience of Infinitude is a Meeting.

Therefore, Meeting occurs by Multiplicity of Experience within Infinitude.

  1. The solitary precondition of Experience ensures solitude does not isolate, but establishes.

Therefore, Experience belongs to the individual alone but makes Meeting possible.

  1. Infinitude is shared.

Experience is met.

IV

  1. Experience cannot be re-felt.

Therefore, the Experience of Life is only in Motion.

Therefore, Experiences had, as opposed to the Experience of Life in Motion, are Located elsewhere Ontologically.

  1. Experiences had can be felt only through Empathy, not Direct Experience.

Therefore, all Experience that is not in Motion is Fictional, including Experiences had in one’s own life.

  1. Fictional Experience: is Located Elsewhere,  belongs to whomever Experienced it in Motion, can only be empathised with, and cannot be identified with, not even by the one to whom the Experience belonged.

Therefore, all is Fictional, including one’s own Experiential Self.

Therefore, Experience is Fiction in Motion.

Therefore, Experience is Fictional.

  1. The Intellect—Thinking—is for Describing the Fictionality of Life.

Therefore Thinking is Fiction Generating.

Therefore Writing Fiction is Surplus Fiction Generation.

  1. Surplus Fiction Generation increases Multiplicity of Experience.

Therefore, Relation increases.

  1. Writing Fictional is Relational.

Reading Fiction is Relational.

Fictional Living is Relational.

  1. Writing Fiction is Writing towards the Reader, describing the Experience of the Fictional Character.

Reading Fiction is to receive the Writer, and to be met with the Experience of the Fictional Character.

Fictional Living is to explore for the Writer, to exist for the Reader, and to meet other Fictional Characters through Experience.

  1. All is Fictional.
