A Brief Introduction

I am a young man based in Bedfordshire with a lovely wife and children. In my life to date, I have managed to simultaneously prove everything about existence and nothing at all. That might sound impressive, but it feels miraculously ordinary… almost like nothing ever happened! 

I write books and publish them myself, and then I write more books. Oh, and in the summer of 2025, I was briefly God on TikTok, which was fun. It’s incredible how invisible a person can remain when they resist fusing with anything that might make them identifiable. 

Earlier versions of this introductory piece provided some context for the work I do, but even that seems to have exhausted its utility. So here we are, you and me… Reader and Max. It’s nice to meet you! And if I’ve met you before, I hope you’re well!

This site houses my ongoing thoughts and reflections, and shelves my books. I’ve removed the Practice page—with the mentoring etc.—because it’s only ever misunderstood or derided, and who needs all that?!
